Venus surveyed mem glaring at both me and my- well...
Death didn't seem to be able to make this much easier.
"Nice little revenge for you is it?" The woman hissed at Death.
"What?" The male creature replyed, genuinly confused.
"Oh come on. It's obvious you've done something to her."
"You really think that a man could do something to me?" I growled.
"Enough men, yes Lillith." Her tone changed. "Come with me Lilly, leave the man alone..."
I looked at her, then at Death, wondering if I should pretend.

if i faught, it would get worse.
if i did nothing, she would leave.
''no, no, it's fine, i was leaving anyway...'' i smiled ploitly.
''hmm, from what i could see, you were not planning that until i came along...''
i grinned, ''that's correct! arent you disruptive?''
with that i leaft lillith with her disapointed parent of an employer.
''oh, venus...,'' i said befor she could open her mouth to make a pun a t me, ''just a tip..., for next time you bump into god in the coridoor, saying 'that's sexist! you sporn of stupid incapable sexist masculinity!' is slightly hipocritical', however, if you had said 'that's sexist, you stupid, incapable sexist man!' it would be true.''
i disaperad on the spot, to save me the bother of walking aroubd the corner.

I smiled meekly, gazing up at Venus.
"A man." She growled at me. I took a tentative step back. "Not just a man. The bloody Grim Reaper! What do you see in him Lillith?"
"Evil." I replied. "Not sexist evil, or discriminating, just pure unpredjudised cruelty."
Venus narrowed her eyes.
"He almost raped Eve. You allowed that to happen."
"Rape!" I scoffed. "He kissed her! Venus, he was tainting the submissive, before the Devil ever could!"
"You'd rather a man than a snake?" The woman questioned. "I thing God changed you."
"I don't think Adam would agree." I grimaced.

i hated to imagine what the two weomen would be saying to each other now.
ah, what to do.
devil? done.
god? nooo.
lillith? ah, that was the reson i was looking for other companie.
i realed through a list of the transported humans in my head. most were boring or troubled.
but...scarlett? where was scarlett? she must have been 'exploring' for about a month now...
what a host i was.
she was probably lost...or maybe she had got a job?
and were was liliths girl, the armie type one?
it was like poring a bag of marbles out in the midle of a crowded hall, they had all gone in diferent directions..and people might slip on them!
erm....maybe without that last part...
i had lost all of the humans. should i collect themall back into their marble bag and throw them back out into the forest? or...let them live here? or cut their memorie and throw them back on there little swirly planet?
well, the first thing was to find them.
scarlett first.
eek, did she still think i was going to marry her? oh, no...she had disagreed, thank god....
that would not have been a good situation to get into when dating lillith...especialy whan she was trying to proove me worthy to her 'disaprooving mother'.
'ah, yeh, i'm a great guy 'n' all, but, ya see..ha, it's kindof a funny story...i'm engaged all rready! and i just forgot!'
hmm. that woukld have been the epitamie of awkwardness.

"Adam?" I asked.
Lillith smiled grimly.
Well that didn;t mean much to me, Lillith had sex with plenty of men, it was the fact that she hadn't... well... done something particulary big to The Grim Reaper that made me realise that she actually had feelings for him.
I laughed hollowly.
"Death then. I never thought you would leave me Lilith." I felt betrayed by her, femenist my- my- womanhood!
"I can love a male, Venus!" The girl shouted.
"Love!" I growled back. "You're a hypocrite!"
"And you're not?" The girl snarled. "I don't see you purging mankind's precense!"
I flicked the girl to the floor. She opened her mouth, furious.
"You've been touched by a man, and therefore you share his precence as much as anyone." I growled.

i began to walk towards the stairs. then realised i had no idea where scarett might be. i frowned, then turned walking back to reception.
''escuse me, could you please tell me where some one it ?''
the woman at the desk looked at me.
''erm, Scarlett....Scarlett the human''
''there are 282 human essence beings called 'Scarlett' the higher relms. i hope this has beenhelpfull. please fill in the custemer service form on youre way out.'' said the secutery in a monotone voice that managed to stay on the one pitvh that mamngered to iratat every soul on earth.
282 hey? damn angels. a load of dead scarletts walking about getting in my way.
''em, no. escuse me, that was not at all helpfull...''
''be sure to note that on the custemer service form...''
''NO! listen, check your damn computer for Scarlett, human - current human! not dead, visiting with mr. Death. red hair, freckles, welsh! plays the bloody flute!''
the securety rolled her eyes, then looked up from her computer, ''oh, is that her there?''
i turned. so now she turns up.
scarlett walked down the stairs holding a brief case.
on seeing we, she walked firlmy up to me, thrust the case into my arms and said, ''why am i suddenly head of youre bloody post office?''

''hello!'' i smiled.
she continued to glare.
''how are you fancying my world then?'' i grinned.
''in the same way that i fancy you. not at all.''
i turned, slightly embaressed by her remark.
''well then, let's get you home....''
''how many times have i heard that!'' she laughed bitterly.
i felt awfull.
it must be weomen! they realy know how to hurt you! i thought she might have enjoyed a trip to the 'non existant' higher relms. magical! most would have thought it. but she has to be all human about it and go and get a job!

((Fisco))

"Carla!" I grabbed her lightly. "God woman, you think I enjoyed that?" I panted. "I'm as straight as a wooden pole, I couldn;t help it!"
Carla pushed my arm off hers and frowned.
"If you have a problem, take it up with Lillith- mum-" I shook my head. "Just get into a strop with her okay!? I don;t deserve this!"

I quickly brushed an angry tear with the back on my hand, and took a step toward Fisco. I think he thought I was going to slap him again, but when I lurched forward, it was to wrap my arms around him in a frustrated, soggy hug. I buiried my face in his chest, holding him tightly, before looking up at him. "I love you."

((venus))

lillith stood, scowling.
i scowled back, ''well if you wont see it that way, think of it for youre own sake! look at him! he's had thousends of woemen and thrown them all away! why should he do any diferent to you!''
''you could say the same about me to him! both of us! and out disposable men!''
''they were all for a reson, lillith! men have been at the game for much longer, and continue to do so! it's our turn and they wont step down!''
''it's not within his interest to abuse any of us!''
i turned away, ''just think, over the last month or two, he was 'madly in love' with that red head girl! where is she now?''
''she did'nt return his feelings, and he let her go! how many men would do that? he tried to woo her and stopped at that! he could have killed her in frustration! hypnotised her! he could have forced her to do anything he wanted! but he didn't want to.''
''well i don't think he liked her anyway, or you, or could like anyof us! have you seen him with god? he use to stare more longingly then he ever has done at you lilith! he isnet interested in woemen! not realy!''
''you know, it is possible for poeple to change! he was confused! and if he wasent resly into woemen, then surely he is less of a threat! do you know how much god teased him! he was broken! and it realy hutr him when he realised what i planned to do woth Adam! him and eve, it was just bad timing! they both felt betrayed, and, upset!...''

''you love him'' i interipted, ''say it lillith, say you love hgim, just to make it clear...go on.''

((Lillith))

"What did you want Venus?" I snapped. "Did you want me? Is that it? Girl on girl, because if so, you're not my type!"
Venus flushed.
"No- Lillith- that is not..." She stammered. "No. But we are not human, not mortal even. We don't need to- pass on like they do. We don't need partners!"
"But I might want on." I frowned.

((venus))

''oh, but lillith! you havent heard the worst of it! it was only a week or so back. him and the devil, they were gambeling....''
''ooh! how unchristrian!'' she smirked.
i frowned, ''...on me. betting on which one could...'woo' me, have me, first. i heard him, youre prince charming, saying the worst of it. and don't blame it on the devil getting him drunk, he did'nt drink! (and being honest, if yoyre choosing a man, you wouldent want a totaly sober one, their boring)''
lillith just smiled, ''you know, it's funny, if he ever did think that way of you, an object, since..he dosent see anyone else like that..... if you don't want me, well, i would rather hang around someone who does....''

and with that, she left.
she thinks i will come around to her way of thinking, one day, she thinks.

((Lillith))

I strode away and to find someone who cared.
"Lucifer," I called softly, glimpsing him in the corridor. "Death... Where have you been?"

i leaft scarlett to her job, i would sort out the humans later.
i did'nt dare go back to lillith, not with the tensions no doubt arising with venus.
i just stood on the coridoor. wating. hearing breif snippits of their conversation.
not to long later, lillith came back, gliding in the beutifull way she did.
''lucifer...''
i turned, smiling.
''death, where have you been?''
''well, youknow, just sorting out my humans....''
''are you scared of her?'' she whispered, putting her hands on my shoulders.
i looked back at her, godess.
''maybe....'' i smiled.
she dropped her hands sharply, almost roling jher eyes.
i held onto her arm firmly, ''you do know i was jocking, don't you?''
she sighed in relife, leaning on my chest.
''i do love you youknow.'' i said, ''more than anyother. i may not have had the best history with woemen, and i may not be entierly streight, but i love you with what ever soul i have.''
she looked up at me and i kissed her.
she held on to my hand, about to speak, when venus walked quickly passed, trying to ignor us.
she pushed my hands back and kissed me again.
i asent going to argue, even if that one was only a show for venus.

((Lilith))

I drew back.
"You have no soul Lucifer." I smiled.
He clasped a bony hand to my waist.
"Well if I have to convince you..." He whispered.
"Death, where are my children?" I asked.
"Your children." He grimaced. "Who's- I mean, who did you..?"
I cackled.
"You do care." I laughed. "It was just a demon, of no consequence..." I lied.
Of no concequence... God I was kidding myself...

i let go of her waist, ''do i aught not to care? be like every other man?''
''if you were like every other man lucifer, you would have got no ware near me....''
i leant back on the wall, ''well, it seems you let someone else...''
i decided to stop.
of no consiquence.
if it did'nt matter to her, it did'nt matter to me.
what to say now...
''youre children will be around, probably with that carla girl. that spell messed them up a bit, her and youre boy. tuesday wont be far....why do you want to know?''

((Lillith))

I sighed.
"With or without God's spell, I love her. And with you around, she might acctually come near me." I smiled. "Plus... I think she could be in dange- I mean," I flushed. "Well, I would just feel safer if she was with us at the moment."

''okay, '' i tried to smile, holdong out my hand, ''would you like to, em, 'vanish', or walk?''
she put her hand in mine, but not at all tenderly.
''okay, off we go then...''

we apeard not too far around the corner, where fisco stood with his girlfreind, and tuesday dancing about their feet.
lillith pushed passed me.
tuesday held her arms out, and lillith almost smiled, but tuesday ducked under her motherrs arms and came to me.
''mummy, '' she glanced, ''meet daddy...''
i smiled awkwardly, ''em, just talk to youre mother amoment dear, i need to be off over there....''
i leaft the girl to be with her mother befor she could argue.
fisco and carla ey...
conversation.
fisco nodded on seeing me, ''hello,''
carla stood streight, ''did the spell get you too?''
i chuckled slightly, ''em, you could say...''
''did it make you kiss a man? like it did with fisco?''
i sighed, ''no.''
fisco raised an eyebrow, ''thats not...disapointment is it?''
''well...'' on realising lilllith was behind me i stod streighter and said, ''no. it's not. not at all. i am happy not kissing men.''
and that wasrnt a lie either. i liked lillith. who was a woman...very much so.
''can we go now!'' tuesday moaned.
''yes, come on, lets go...'' said lillith.
i turned, ''where?''
''youre house.'' they said together.
then folowed the scilence that forced me to agree.
''okay then....''

((Lillith))

We got to Lucifer's home, I glanced around.
"Where could Tuesd-"
"I already have a room!" My child sang and bounded off, Death looking reluctantly behind her.
"Something you're not telling me?"I raised my eyebrows.
"What?" Death asked.
"You seem to like my daughter very much." I giggled.
Death sighed.
"Thankyou for letting her stay here." I murmurered.
"Look, Tuesday's an insane, cute looking pyrokinetic. the demons will either fear her or love her, why do you think she could be in danger?" The Grim Reaper asked me.

lillith gazed around, thinking.
''well, you have been here befor...so, no need to show you around, all that is tealy diferent is that we have a hat stand now...'' i gestured to the bone white, brnaching stand, ''fel free to use it for all youre hat suporting needs.''
''who do you mean by 'we'?'' lillith questioned.
''em, me, the genral clockworks - you know, the, would you call them minions? and it can, em, extend to you, if you like, you,'' i looked over at tuesday who lingered in the dorway, llistening, '',and you and i can be a 'we'.''
i looked down, almost chukeling at my total lack of coolness.
''anyway, of you go tuesday, your toys will have goten dusty, and i am pretty sure one or trwo has begun to rot...''
the girl shreiked in delight and ran of for her...toys.
''so,'' i began agoin, ''wheres the danger?''

((Lillith))

"No, just..."
"Don't lie Lillith." Death said. I looked at him. He looked almost... angry.
"Her father." I sighed.
"What about him?" Death growled, almost grabbing me with bony palm. He fell short at my dress.
I looked away guiltily.
"Who did you-?"
"The Devil." I mumbled.
"What!?"

i looked at her in shock, she had had a chid with the devil?
''you mean..you actualy mean you, and tha devil? the drunken loudmouth most sexist man on earth devil? you let him get hold of you? or did you do it to him, likew with that poor adam chap? is this right? or is there somother sort of devil? god! him? he dosent even look pretty! not anymore! not after, well his life! you judt decided to be like eevery other woemen on the planet and let the devil have you.''
i turned away, still fuming i began to say, ''look, i'm sory! i'm sorry! it's youre life! it's youre....life. you can do what the hell you want with it. dear, dear existance.'' i stopped tirning back to her, ''well, never mind. that's done and dusted, you and him, isent it?''

((Lillith))

I smiled shyly.
"Look, I have a thing wit him. You wouldn't understand, you're a man. But as long as he doesn;t touch me or my Tuesday, I'll never have anything to do with him again. Anyway, I get any kicks I got off him, from you, and more my darling." I tried to reassure him.
"But the Devil is filthy. He'd want her. He might even..." I swallowed. "Want her."
